ATK Mohun Bagan FC emerged victorious with a stunning 5-2 win over Kerala Blasters FC in the Indian Super League on Saturday. The Kolkata-based club's performance was powered by a brilliant hat-trick from Dimitri Petratos.
The match began with intensity, as both teams battled for control. Kerala Blasters drew first blood with a goal from Adrian Luna in the third minute. However, ATK Mohun Bagan responded swiftly, with Dimitri Petratos scoring the equalizer in the 15th minute. The Australian striker found the net again just before halftime, giving his team a 2-1 lead.
The second half was a masterclass from ATK Mohun Bagan. Petratos completed his hat-trick in the 58th minute, putting the match beyond doubt. Liston Colaco and Kiyan Nassiri added to the tally in the 70th and 79th minutes, respectively.
Kerala Blasters FC managed to pull one back through Ivan Kaliuzhnyi in the 83rd minute, but it was too little, too late. ATK Mohun Bagan FC held on to their lead and secured a commanding victory.
The win marked ATK Mohun Bagan FC's third of the season, moving them to the top of the table with 10 points from five matches. Kerala Blasters FC, meanwhile, remain in sixth place with six points from the same number of matches.
