Australian Tennis Player Forced to Pull Out of Match Against Novak Djokovic

De Minaur suffered a hip injury during his fourth-round win over Cristian Garin.

Alex de Minaur has withdrawn from his Wimbledon quarterfinal against Novak Djokovic due to a hip injury. The Australian was set to face the top-seeded Serbian on Wednesday, but was forced to pull out of the match after sustaining the injury in his fourth-round win over Cristian Garin.

De Minaur had been in impressive form at Wimbledon, reaching the quarterfinals for the first time in his career. He had beaten Garin in straight sets in the fourth round, but aggravated the hip injury during the match.

The injury is a major blow to De Minaur's hopes of reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon for the first time. He was one of the favorites to reach the latter stages of the tournament, but will now have to watch from the sidelines.

Djokovic will now advance to the semifinals, where he will face either Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz. The Serbian is the heavy favorite to win the tournament and will be looking to extend his record-breaking Grand Slam tally to 21.
